Tenho acne e, se há alturas em que não tenho nenhum problema em sair à rua sem maquilhagem, também há outras em que gosto de dar um boost à minha confiança com um pouco de cobertura. A COSRX veio revolucionar e facilitar a minha rotina com a nova cover cushion especial para peles propensas a acne — a cobertura é incrível! Falarei também de outros produtos recentemente adicionados à minha rotina neste post: marcas como Chica Y Chico, Purito e Kinvane (todas elas k-beauty).
I have acne prone skin and if there are days when I have no problem going out without makeup, there are also days when I like to boost my confidence with some coverage. COSRX has revolutionized and eased my routine with the new special cover cushion for acne prone skin — the cover is amazing! I will also talk about other products recently added to my routine on this post: brands like Chica Y Chico, Purito and Kinvane (all k-beauty).
As cushion foundations são extremamente comuns na cosmética Coreana (e também em marcas muito conhecidas mundialmente), mas a verdade é que ainda não tinha experimentado nenhuma. Não me atraía muito utilizar aquela esponjinha que tinha que ser pressionada noutra para sair produto. No entanto, quando vi que a COSRX lançou uma para peles acne-prone, fiquei com imensa vontade de experimentar.
Só existem três tons disponíveis (o que é péssimo, bem sei) e optei pelo 23 Natural, que é o tom do meio. Apesar de na swatch abaixo parecer extremamente clara para mim, no rosto adaptou-se na perfeição.

Cushion foundations are extremely common in Korean cosmetics (as well as in worldwide brands), but the truth is that before this one, I haven't tried any yet. I was not very attracted to use a sponge that had to be pressed on another to extract product. However, when I saw that COSRX launched one for acne-prone skin, I really wanted to try it.
There are only three shades available (which is terrible, I know) and I went for 23 Natural, which is the middle shade. Although on the swatch below it seems extremely light to me, on the face it adapted perfectly.
O que mais me assustava em usar uma cushion foundation era a higienização da mesma. Tenho dado “a volta” à situação lavando ocasionalmente a pequena esponja aplicadora. Isto porque com as utilizações tenho percebido que é, efetivamente, o modo mais flawless de aplicar o produto. Experimentei com a beauty blender, e a cobertura/método de aplicação muda drasticamente.
A Blemish Cover Cushion contém centella asiatica (como grande parte dos meus produtos Coreanos, e todos os produtos deste post) por ser um ingrediente extremamente calmante para a pele (especialmente para quem sofre de acne). Consigo uma cobertura quase total com uma única aplicação. Com uma segunda camada fico com uma total full-coverage. Noto uma maior dificuldade com o aplicador na zona da olheira/nariz, mas nada que um pouco de paciência na aplicação não resolva. Estou fã! Vejam os resultados abaixo, apenas com a cushion e nada mais. Na foto não utilizei pó, mas no dia a dia utilizo sempre, para fixar e para obter uma maior duração.
Apesar de ser um produto com SPF 47, não dispenso usar o meu protetor solar favorito por baixo (falo dele no post, mais abaixo)! Tip: Para facilitar a aplicação, gosto de pressionar a esponja muito suavemente na embalagem, para não extrair demasiado produto e ser possível construir a cobertura.

What scared me the most about using a cushion foundation was its cleanliness. To turn that around, I occasionally wash the small applicator sponge. This, because I've realized that it is effectively the most flawless way to apply the product. I tried with the beauty blender, and the coverage/application method changed dramatically.
The Blemish Cover Cushion contains centella asiatica (like most of my Korean products and all the products on this post) as it is an extremely soothing ingredient (especially for acne-prone skin). I get almost full coverage with a single application. With a second layer I get a total full-coverage. I notice a greater difficulty with the applicator in the dark circle and nose area, but nothing that a little patience in the application doesn't solve. I'm a fan! Check out the results below, with the cushion only and nothing more. In the photo I did not use powder, but in my daily life I always do, to fix it and for a longer duration.
Despite the fact that it has SPF 47, I still always wear my favorite sunscreen below (I'll talk about it later on this post)! Tip: To make the application easier, I like to press softly with the sponge, so it won't release too much product, and I can build it.

É claro que, não me importa apenas ter maquilhagem que esconda o acne. Utilizo skincare apropriada e, sempre que possível, gosto de descobrir produtos novos que ajudem a acalmar a pele. O Tota-S 3.0 da Chica Y Chico contém extrato de centella asiatica e totarol (antioxidante). Ingredientes que, novamente, ajudam a acalmar a pele irritada pelo acne. Tem uma textura fresca em gel e não tem o aroma mais agradável (um ligeiro aroma a “ervinhas”), que é totalmente tolerável. Tem sido uma salvação para acalmar a pele inflamada, e sinto que ajuda imenso na cicatrização do acne. Foi o segundo produto que experimentei da Chica Y Chico (o primeiro foi este) e, novamente, estou bastante feliz com os resultados.

Of course, I don't only care for makeup that hides acne. I wear appropriate skincare and whenever possible I like to discover new products that help soothe the skin. It has a fresh gel texture and does not have the most pleasant scent (a slight "weed" aroma), which is totally tolerable. It has been a lifeline to soothe inflamed skin, and I feel it helps a lot in healing acne. It was the second product I tried from Chica Y Chico (the first one was this) and, again, I'm quite happy with the results.
Se têm lido os meus últimos k-beauty posts, sabem que estou sempre na descoberta de novos protetores solares para usar no dia a dia. Já fiz ótimas descobertas (a COSRX tem um dos melhores que já experimentei), e, agora, encontrei um que está totalmente ao nível desse — é o Centella Green Level Unscented Sun da Purito. Existe a versão com fragrância, mas depois de ver que lançaram o unscented, não restaram dúvidas. Pareceu-me a melhor escolha para uma pele que facilmente se irrita (nisso somos parecidas).
É um protetor solar mineral com SPF 50+ (UVA e UVB) extremamente leve e suave, perfeito para peles sensíveis. Tanto uso por baixo da maquilhagem, como uso por si só. Não sinto que aumente a produção de oleosidade nem irrite de algum modo a minha pele. E claro, não deixa aquela sensação gordurosa. É perfeito e julgo que descobri o meu novo holy grail. Considero que seja muito comparável ao Aloe Soothing Sun Cream da COSRX.

If you have been reading my latest k-beauty posts, you know that I am always trying to discover new sunscreens for everyday use. I've made some great discoveries (COSRX has one of the best I've ever tried), and now I've found one that's totally up to it — it's Purito's Centella Green Level Unscented Sun. There is the scented version, but after seeing that they released the unscented, there was no doubt left. It seemed to be the best choice for easily irritating skin (we're similar in that).
It is an extremely light and mild SPF 50+ (UVA and UVB) mineral sunscreen, perfect for sensitive skin. I wear it under makeup, as well as by itself. I do not feel that it increases the production of greasiness or in any way irritates my skin. And of course, it doesn't leave that greasy feeling. It's perfect and I think I discovered my new holy grail. I find it very comparable to COSRX's Aloe Soothing Sun Cream.

Por fim, tenho utilizado um produto de uma nova marca Coreana no mercado: a Kinvane. Todos os seus produtos têm uma característica em comum: o uso de PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) que é, nada mais do que um ingrediente obtido do esperma do salmão. É verdade, nunca pensei que tal ingrediente tivesse tantos benefícios, mas aqui está ele. Os seus benefícios passam pela aceleração da regeneração de células da pele danificadas, acalma inflamações a hidrata a pele. Novamente contém centella asiatica.
Fiquei bastante reticente, e confesso que não pesquisei o suficiente antes de encomendar este produto. Ainda assim, decidi experimentar e tirar as minhas próprias conclusões: é ótimo e extremamente hidratante. Uso sempre à noite antes de dormir, o que me tem ajudado a calmar e hidratar a pele. No entanto, estou muito reticente quanto à marca. Não consegui encontrar informação suficiente (talvez por ser nova) e, obviamente, o ingrediente “que dá a cara” está longe de ser animal-friendly (e bem sei que isto pode ser contraditório, não sou vegan e uso imensos produtos com beeswax, por exemplo), no entanto, esta informação deixou-me um pouco na defensiva. Sempre que possível gosto de optar por produtos livres de ingredientes de origem animal, o que me deixa na dúvida se voltaria a recorrer à marca.
Finally, I have been using a product by a new Korean brand on the market: Kinvane. All of their products have one feature in common: the use of PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) which is nothing more than an ingredient obtained from salmon sperm. True, I never thought such an ingredient would have so many benefits, but here it is. Its benefits include accelerated regeneration of damaged skin cells, soothes inflammation and moisturizes the skin. Again, it contains centella asiatica.
I was quite reticent, and I confess that I didn't research enough before ordering this product. Still, I decided to try and draw my own conclusions: It's great and extremely moisturizing. I always use it at night before bed, which has helped me calm and moisturize the skin. However, I am very reticent about the brand. I couldn't find enough information (maybe because it's new) and obviously the face-giving ingredient is far from animal-friendly (and I know this may be contradictory, I'm not vegan and I use lots of products that contain beeswax, for example). However, this information made me a little defensive. Whenever possible I like to go for products free of animal origin ingredients, which makes me doubt if I would resort to this brand again.

I do have Purito´s sunscreen in the scented version and I have to say that it´s amazing, but to be honest, that scent is a bit too strong for me and unpleasant for my skin. I hope that this unscented version will work better for me :) ☁ ☂

Devo confessar que me ri bastante com esse último, mas muitas vezes usamos os produtos sem saber o que eles contêm.
