3 K-Beauty Brands That You Need To Know About

These Korean brands are not new on the market, but they are brands that have surprised me. Two of them for the first time, and Purito for the thousandth (third, actually)! The products I bring today are quite different: an eye cream, a serum and a primer. What do they have in common? They are all k-beauty and cruelty-free. In addition to PURITO, it was my first time with heimish and MAY COOP.

Os produtos que trago hoje são bastante distintos: um creme de olhos, um serum e um primer. O que têm em comum? São todos k-beauty e cruelty-free. Para além da PURITO, estreei-me com a heimish e a MAY COOP.

In addition to PURITO, it was my first time with heimish and MAY COOP.

Purito is a combined word of "Purify" and "To" (comes from a chinese character meaning "soil"). Purify means to purify their natural ingredients to create safe and clean products, "To" means to go back to basics to strenghten and repair collapsed skin barriers.

It is filled with 49% of rich "Centella Asiatica" extracts, formulated with high grade extracts of Centella Asiatica that calm down inflamed skin, reduce pigmentation while minimizing traces when it is applied to skin. When used consistently, this serum will help you alleviated deep wrinkles (from Jolse website).

Com 49% de extratos de centelha asiática, ajuda imenso com a cicatrização de acne e marcas. É isso que faz dele o sérum perfeito para a minha rotina. Tenho-o usado nos últimos meses e sinto que acalma imenso a pele, não só pela sua sensação fresca e leve, mas também pela sua composição de ingredientes calmantes. A longo prazo também promete tratar rugas profundas (não tenho notado diferenças, pelo que suponho que seja necessário usar durante mais tempo), mas é mesmo na questão da cicatrização que noto efetivamente resultados.

Depois de descobrir a maravilha que é o protetor solar da mesma gama (“Centella Green”), esta foi a minha segunda descoberta favorita da Purito.

The Centella Green Level Buffet Serum is a light and fresh serum, perfect for problematic skin.

With 49% of extracts of centella green, it helps a lot with the healing of acne and acne scars. That's what makes it the perfect serum for my routine. I have been using it for the past few months and I feel it soothes the skin immensely, not only because of its fresh and light feel, but also because of its composition of soothing ingredients. In the long term it also promises to treat deep wrinkles (I have not noticed any differences, so I suppose it is necessary to use it for a longer time), but the results I notice the most are the healing of acne.

After discovering the wonder that is the sunscreen of the same range (“Centella Green”), this was my second favorite Purito discovery.

A May Coop seduziu-me pelo seu packaging cuidado e amigo do ambiente. Isso aliado ao facto de não dispensar um creme de olhos bem nutritivo, decidi experimentar o Raw Eye Contour. O facto do produto vir neste potezinho levou-me a crer que poderia ser um daqueles cremes de olhos mais densos e hidratantes, perfeitos para aplicar à noite. No entanto, tem uma textura bastante suave e leve, longe de ser denso e difícil de absorver. Isto torna-o o creme de olhos perfeito para uso diário, tanto de dia, como à noite (ainda que eu o use mais à noite, confesso). Tudo isto sem deixar de ser hidratante e nutritivo.

Não sinto que reduza as minhas olheiras (não é fácil!), mas sinto firmeza em torno desta zona tão sensível da pele, o que para mim é essencial num creme de olhos.

May Coop seduced me with its beautiful and environmentally friendly packaging. This coupled with the fact that I'm always in the hunt for a nutritious eye cream made me want to try the Raw Eye Contour. The fact that the product comes in this little pot led me to believe that it could be one of those denser and moisturizing eye creams, perfect for applying at night. However, it has a very smooth and light texture, far from being dense and difficult to absorb. This makes it the perfect eye cream for daily use, both during the day and at night (although I use it more at night, I admit). All of this while still being hydrating and nourishing.

I don't feel it reduces my dark circles (it's not easy!), But I feel firmness around this very sensitive area of the skin, which for me is essential in an eye cream.

Por fim, conheci a heimish — marca Coreana de produtos de skincare e makeup. Tenho explorado muito mais a parte dos cuidados de pele, e pareceu-me a oportunidade perfeita para experimentar mais um produto de maquilhagem K-Beauty: a minha escolha foi o primer Artless Glow Base, com proteção UV, propriedades de luminosidade e antirrugas. // Finally, I got to know heimish, a Korean brand of skincare and makeup products. I have been exploring skincare much more, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try another K-Beauty make-up product: my choice was the Artless Glow Base primer, with UV protection, brightening properties and anti-wrinkles.

A marca menciona que o Glow Base funciona tanto por baixo de maquilhagem, como sozinho. Já experimentei de ambos os modos e, na verdade, tem sido o meu primer diário (quando uso makeup). Sozinho, apesar de conferir um glow muito bonito, sinto que para a minha pele, é a bit too much. Assim, opto apenas por o utilizar debaixo de maquilhagem. A luminosidade no rosto é incrível, e o facto de ter proteção solar é um must (UVA e UVB)! Assim, quando o uso, posso dispensar o meu protetor solar.

Infelizmente, a Jolse já não parece ter stock deste produto. Mas continuam a estar disponíveis outros produtos da marca, e os próximos a experimentar serão a Perfect Cushion e a Smudge Stop Mascara.

The brand mentions that the Glow Base works under makeup as well as alone. I've tried it both ways and, in fact, it's been my daily primer (when I wear makeup). Alone, despite giving a very beautiful glow, I feel that for my skin type, it's a bit too much. So, I just choose to wear it under makeup. The luminosity on the skin is incredible, and the fact that it has sun protection is a must (UVA and UVB)! So, when I wear it, I can go without my sunscreen.

Sadly, Jolse doesn't seem to have stock of this product at the moment. But there are still other heimish products available, and the next ones I want to try are the Perfect Cushion and the Smudge Stop Mascara.
