Orange Cleansing Sherbet & More K-Beauty Skincare

My fascination for Korean cosmetics continues and, with it, there is also a growing interest in getting to know “new” cruelty-free brands. I introduced Aromatica in my last k-beauty related post, and today I bring back two products from the brand (thanks to Jolse). In addition to this, I also tried PURITO for the first time and I finally got a rose quartz massage tool that had been on my wishlist for so long.

// This delicious orange “sherbet” was at the top of my products to try - of dense and creamy texture, it promises to melt all makeup and impurities. After falling in love with cleansing oils, I had to try these cleansing “butters”.

"AROMATICA's Orange Cleansing Sherbet removes impurities and all traces of make-up and balances oil production in the skin. A sherbet type cleanser of fresh feeling leaves skin deeply cleansed, moisturized and soft. Plant-derived canola oil and organic babassu seed oil allow the cleanser to dissolve grime and dead cells."

It does everything it promises! Melts all makeup perfectly. I read some less good reviews about the residues (oil) it leaves on the face. I don't really feel it. However, after using this sherbet, I always finish with a cleansing gel (and toner, as always) to make sure that my face is effectively clean and fresh. Like cleansing oils, I find it to be an extremely practical and easy to use product. It has an irresistible orange scent!

You just need a tiny bit (remove it with the small spatula that comes with the product) and apply on dry face. Then massage in circular movements and finish with warm water. I always remove the product from my face with a damp towel.

// Aromatica's second product is a mineral sunscreen (read here the difference between mineral and chemical)  with the particularity of being tinted, aka it has color. It is, pretty much, a 30 UVA / UVB protection sort of bb cream. I didn't love it, and I'll explain why.

"AROMATICA's Natural Tinted Sun-Cream provides excellent sun protection against UVA/UVB

A safe sunscreen which does not absorb UV and block/reflect it on the surface of the skin. Silicone FREE sunscreen: only made with natural oils approved by ECOCERT and plant oils."

// There is only one shade available, which is not good. The picture below may not be noticeable, but although it fits relatively well with my skin tone, it is still too light (perhaps in winter). It covers my blemishes quite well, considering that it is just a tinted solar moisturizer.

No entanto, o acabamento é demasiado dewy. // However, the finish is too dewy. It was a disaster to wear it without powder (I got extremely oily, which is not usual), and with powder, I feel like it "ruins the purpose". This is because I imagined it was a product that I would apply and voila, I'm ready. Realistically, I can fix it with powder, and maybe that's how I'll give it another chance. Its aroma is very light and not notorious.

// After the orange sherbet, this was my second favorite product - a refreshing and moisturizing eye cream. It is anti-age (which I greatly appreciate, although I cannot give miraculous feedback about this feature). It contains centella asiatica and four other ingredients known for their anti-aging properties: peptide, panthenol, hyaluronic acid and synergistic (some already well known by me, some not so much). You can read a little more about them here.

"High-moisturizing cream with Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil Limnanthes Alba Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil. An Anti-aging eye cream that refreshes your dark eyes with 4 kind of peptide extracts. Centella-asiatica and four other ingredients of peptide, panthenol, and hyaluronicacid are synergistic on improving and preventing eye wrinkles already progressed or may be in progress."

// It's the perfect everyday eye cream, and I really enjoy using it. It is very moisturizing and refreshing and, moreover, is quickly absorbed. I like its softness, and the moisturizing sensation around the eyes - it is an extremely sensitive area, so all care is required! It's approved. I already have other PURITO products in mind, do you have recommendations?

"The Premium 2 in 1 Gua Sha Massage Set of JOLSE for anti-aging and facial shaping. Gua Sha stone is an alternative medicinal tool used to massage the skin for weight loss and detoxification. Store the 100% natural rose quartz massage set in the refrigerator to cool your skin while massaging."

Soa-me a algo promissor!

I was very curious and really wanted a tool set of this kind. Jolse has a very nice kit, which includes the so-called "tools" of alternative medicine. The supposed benefits include lifting, wrinkle improvement and facial shaping. Sounds promising! I have left the stone (Gua Sha) a little aside (it's more related to detox, weight loss and muscle pain), but the roller I use occasionally and is very pleasant on the face (try putting in the fridge, it gets even more refreshing). Of course the results are not in sight, but who knows if in the long run it really won't make a difference…

I like to massage on the face before applying serums and other treatments (this will make them better absorbed by the skin) or massage oils on the face directly with the roller. Both tools actually have a lot of uses, which you can get to know in more detail here.

These products were all sent to me by Jolse. This amazing store always sends a bunch of samples to try!
