Rose Cargo Satin Pants / 90s Cargo Pants are Back!

Now here's one of those fashion comebacks I didn't expect to see anytime soon (or never): cargo pants are back! Those 'horrible' pants from the 90s. I mean horrible because I really didn't like them - what about now? I love and wear them constantly! It's (almost) always like this, we didn't like it at the time and, years later, the opinion changes completely.

Ora aqui está um daqueles comebacks no mundo da moda que não esperava ver tão cedo (ou nunca): as calças cargo voltaram! Aquelas calças “horrorosas” dos anos 90. Digo horrorosas porque realmente não gostava delas — e agora? Adoro e uso constantemente! É (quase) sempre assim, não gostamos na altura e, anos depois, a opinião muda por completo.

Claro que, nos 90s usava-se tudo o mais largo possível, e confesso que os modelos de “cargo pants” exatamente como usavam na época (Spice Girls flashback) não me convencem. Mas, modelos lindos como estas calças de cetim, apaixonaram-me! A cor ajuda, é certo. / Of course, in the 90s everything was worn as loose as possible, and I confess that "cargo pants" exactly as they were worn at the time (Spice Girls flashback) do not convince me. But gorgeous models like these satin pants have made me fall in love! The color helps, that's right.

Gosto da versatilidade destas calças — apesar de cargo, conseguem ter um ar elegante, e ficam bem conjugadas com qualquer calçado! Opto 90% das vezes por sapatilhas, pois são o que realmente mais uso (gosto do ar relaxed e sporty), mas ficam igualmente bem com calçado mais classy. É isso que transforma por completo um look com cargo trousers. Isso e a escolha do top, claro. Uso muito com tops básicos como estes, ou t-shirts (graphic e básicas).

Mas falemos dos bolsos extra — não é que são práticos? Vá, raramente os uso, mas é bom saber que lá estão, não vá eu querer guardar mais qualquer coisa (Tommy Wiseau flashbacks now). 😂

Chunky Lavender Sneakers / Pull&Bear

I like the versatility of these pants - despite being cargo, they can look elegant, and look great with any shoes! I go for sneakers 90% of the time because they are what I really wear the most (I like the relaxed and sporty look), but they look equally good with more classy shoes. This is what completely transforms a look with cargo trousers. That and the choice of the top, of course. I wear them a lot with basic tops like these, or t-shirts (graphic and basic). But let's talk about the extra pockets - aren't they practical? Well, I rarely use them, but it's good to know they are there, in case I might need them (Tommy Wiseau flashbacks now). 😂

The "trick" is - pair your cargo pants with more feminine items.

Para além destas satin pants, e ainda dentro da categoria “cargo”, tenho usado e abusado do modelo (também ele da Femme Luxe) - Black Cargo Slim Fit Trousers. Não esperava gostar tanto delas, mas resultam extremamente bem com blazers, para um look mais “office wear”! O “truque” está em combiná-las com itens mais femininos. // In addition to these satin trousers, and still within the "cargo" category, I have also worn a lot the (also from Femme Luxe) Black Cargo Slim Fit Trousers. I didn't expect to like them so much, but they work extremely well with blazers for a more "office wear" look! The "trick" is to combine them with more feminine items.
