Androgyny Eyeshadow Palette by Jeffree Star Cosmetics

Tenho esta paleta desde julho e depressa se tornou na favorita. Apesar de grande parte dos tons parecerem fugir totalmente aos meus típicos neutros, acabo por a usar com bastante regularidade. Vou mostrar-vos swatches e falar um pouco acerca da paleta, em geral. Como todos os produtos Jeffree Star Cosmetics, a Angrodyny é vegan e cruelty-free.

I have this palette since July and it has become one of my favorites. Although most of the shades seem to be completely out of my typical neutrals, I use it quite regularly. In this post I'll show you swatches and talk a little about the palette in general. Like all other Jeffree Star Cosmetics products, "Androgyny" is vegan and cruelty-free.

O packaging é incrível

É revestida em faux leather extremamente pink (muito Jeffree) e tem mesmo aquele aspeto e peso luxurious. No seu interior tem um espelho enorme e com um aspeto meio vintage. Adoro! Algo que me surpreendeu de imediato foram os tamanhos das sombras. São enormes! Já tinha a ideia que eram grandes, mas ao vivo a noção é outra (já vi blushes do mesmo tamanho). As sombras desta paleta têm acabamentos super matte e metálicos.

The packaging is incredible. It is coated in pink faux leather and has even that luxurious look and weight. Inside it has a huge vintage mirror. Love it! Something that surprised me was the sizes of the pans. They are huge! I already had the idea that they were big, but in real life they look bigger (I've seen blushes of the same size). The shadows of this palette have super matte and metallic finishes.

A paleta Androgyny é a versão de uma paleta de neutros do Jeffree Star. Mas, para mim, é uma paleta que à partida aparenta fugir imenso da minha zona de conforto (digo isto, pois acabo por achar os tons bastante usáveis). A primeira fila é sem dúvida a mais “neutra”. Todas as sombras são EXTREMAMENTE pigmentadas, mas os tons metálicos são especialmente cremosos. Ambos os acabamentos são muito fáceis de trabalhar. Sinceramente adoro todas as sombras da primeira fila, mas a Safe Word é a minha favorita (e acho que se nota o uso que lhe dou). Fiquei surpreendida por gostar tanto da Charm, nunca me tinha aventurado com uma sombra tão laranja. Sinto que todos os tons desta paleta se completam na perfeição, aka funcionam todos muito bem juntos.

Frosting - Dourado extremamente pigmentado (metallic).

Safe Word - Castanho frio, é a sombra de transição perfeita. Funciona muito bem para contorno (matte).

Charm - Um verdadeiro laranja (tem uns ligeiros shimmers na pan, mas ao aplicar é matte).

Déjà Vu - Castanho cobre lindíssimo e super pigmentado (metallic).

Dominatrix - Castanho chocolate (matte).

The Androgyny palette is the version of a Jeffree Star neutral palette. For me, it's a palette that seems to be out my comfort zone. The first row is arguably the most "neutral". All shadows are EXTREMELY pigmented, but the metallic tones are especially creamy. Both finishes are very easy to work with. I sincerely love all the shadows of the first row, but Safe Word is my favorite. I was surprised to love Charm so much, I had never ventured into such orange tones. I feel that all the shades of this palette work very well together.

Na fila de baixo encontram-se os tons mais BAM, em especial os azuis, que fogem muito ao que costumo usar. Os meus tons favoritos desta fila são precisamente os dois primeiros. Aquele vermelho-escuro é lindíssimo. O Military também era um tom que à primeira vista não me convencia muito, mas acabei por gostar imenso. Quanto aos azuis, confesso que ainda pouco me aventurei com eles (dão um pop de cor super giro na lower lash line). No entanto, são cores incríveis e quero definitivamente arriscar com um dark blue smokey eye.

Androgyny — Roxo mauve lindíssimo (matte).

Fetish — Vermelho-escuro intenso (quase matte).

Military — Verde/khaki (matte).

Poison — Azul-turquesa/Esverdeado (matte).

Swallow — Azul navy escuro (matte).

In the bottom row there's the BAM shades, specially the blue ones. My favorite shades in this row are precisely the first two. That dark red is beautiful. Military was also a shade that at first glance I didn't love, but I ended up really liking it. As for the blues, I confess that I have not yet ventured much with them (they give an amazing pop of color on the lower lash line). However, they are incredible colors and I definitely want to risk trying a dark blue smoke eye.

As melhores sombras matte que já experimentei

Extremamente pigmentadas e esfumam que é uma maravilha! Tem tons que se adaptam na perfeição para o dia a dia e outros que não tanto. No fundo, trata-se de uma questão de gosto e preferência pessoal. Sinto apenas que falta uma sombra mais iluminadora. O dourado pode funcionar nesse aspeto para algumas pessoas, mas no meu caso não é a minha favorita. De resto, estou muito contente e impressionada com a paleta. As possibilidades são imensas. Alguns looks onde estou a usá-la: aqui, aqui, aqui e aqui.

This palette has the best matte shades I've ever tried. So pigmented and blend amazing! It has shades that adapt perfectly to the daily basis and others that not so much. It's all a question of personal preference. I only feel the need of a more highlighty shade. The gold one may work that way for some people, but in my case it's not my favorite.
