How To Remove Blackheads: COSRX Mr.RX Kit / K-Beauty

Este kit consiste em três passos distintos para remover pontos negros. No fundo, trata-se daquele género de banda de poros. A primeira banda ajuda a preparar os poros, a segunda remove os pontos negros, e a última (o terceiro passo) fecha os poros e suaviza a pele. Estas afirmações deixaram-me muito curiosa e, como já não usava “strip pores” há imenso tempo, resolvi experimentar. O kit é da COSRX (marca Coreana e cruelty-free) da qual tenho falado muito por aqui.

This kit consists of three distinct steps for removing blackheads. It's that kind of strip pore removal band, you know? The first band helps to prepare the pores, the second removes blackheads, and the last one (the third step) closes the pores and softens the skin. These statements made me very curious and, since I had not used "strip pores" for a long time, I decided to order and try it. The kit is from COSRX (Korean and cruelty-free brand) of which I have been talking a lot here.

STEP 1

Softening Sheet

"Softening sheet helps open up pores to dissolve black heads smoothly.

Directions: Apply this nose mask sheet and wait 5 to 10 minutes. Afterwards, remove the sheet and wipe off any wastes from pores.

Ingredients:

Water, Methylpropanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Tromethamine, Citric Acid, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin"

Não tenho tantos pontos negros como tinha há uns anos (quando não cuidava devidamente da minha pele), mas continuo a ter alguns e, o facto de ser um kit de 3 passos, torna o processo engraçado, e até divertido. Além de achar piada às ilustrações.

O step 1, como descrito acima, ajuda a abrir os poros para dissolver os pontos negros suavemente. É, no fundo, uma pequena máscara para o nariz, devidamente embebida em produto. Meio sticky, mas nada desagradável. Depois de aplicar, basta esperar 5 – 10 minutos. Pele suave, e pronta para o passo número dois. //

I do not have as many blackheads as I had a few years ago (when I did not take proper care of my skin), but I still have some, and being a 3-step kit makes the process quite fun. In addition, I think the illustrations are quite cute.

Step 1, as described above, helps to open the pores to dissolve blackheads gently. It is, pretty much, a small sheet mask for the nose, properly soaked in product. Kind of sticky, but nothing unpleasant. After applying, just wait 5 - 10 minutes. Soft skin, and ready for step number two.

STEP 2

Clearing Sheet

"Clearing sheet helps to extract blackheads and other wastes from pores.

Directions: Put some warm water on your nose then apply this nose sheet and wait 10 to 15 minutes. When the sheet becomes dry, take the sheet off slowly, starting from the edges.

Ingredients:

PVP, VP/VA copolymer, Glycerine, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Kaolin, Water, CI 77891, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea tree) Leaf Extract, Glycolic Acid."

O step 2 é o passo crucial. É aqui que esperamos ver todos os pontinhos a saírem e a ficarem devidamente colados à banda. É importante molhar o nariz com água morna e só depois aplicar. Desta vez o tempo de espera é 10 – 15 minutos, até que esteja totalmente seco. Depois, é remover lentamente, pelas pontas. É muito suave. Já tive experiências menos agradáveis com outras bandas removedoras de pontos negros em que tinham aromas muito fortes, ou deixavam o nariz cheio de cola. Não é o caso, o aroma é suave, a tea tree, e não deixa o nariz com excesso de resíduo.

Os resultados estão aqui em baixo (sei que não é muito bonito de se ver, mas queria mostrar que realmente removeu imensos, tendo em conta que não considero ter muitos pontos negros). Concluindo o passo número 2, é tempo de passar para o terceiro e último. //

Step 2 is the crucial step. It's where we expect to see all the little blackheads coming out and being properly glued to the band. It is important to wet the nose with warm water and only then apply. This time the standby time is 10 - 15 minutes, until it is completely dry. Then slowly remove by the tips. It's very soft. I've had less pleasant experiences with other blackhead removing bands where they had very strong scents, or they left my skin full of glue. Not the case here, the aroma is soft, like tea tree, and does not leave excess residue.

The results are below (I know it's not very nice to see, but I wanted to show that it really removed a lot, considering I do not have too many blackheads). Concluding step number 2, it is time to move on to the third and last step.

Step 3

Relaxing Sheet

"Relaxing sheet helps to close the enlarged pores and aids in relieving irritated skin.

Directions: Apply this nose mask sheet and wait 5 to 10 minutes. Afterwards, remove the sheet and pat the remaining essence for better absorption.

Ingredients:

Water, Methylpropanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Trehalose, Alcohol, Carbomer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tromethamine, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Ethyl Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA"

Chegámos ao step 3. Esta última pequena máscara vai ajudar a fechar os poros e a suavizar/acalmar a pele. Traz imenso produto e, é meio transparente, ao contrário das anteriores que eram opacas. Tem um tecido exatamente como o tecido das sheet masks de rosto. Depois de aplicar basta esperar 5 – 10 minutos. No fim, ao remover, o restante produto que fica no rosto deve ser “esbatido” com leves batidinhas, para ser absorvido.

Os resultados são, sem exageros, um nariz extremamente suave e limpo, com poros visivelmente reduzidos. Fiquei tão impressionada! Tenho a certeza que ainda será mais fascinante para quem realmente tem pele oleosa. A única desvantagem é mesmo só dar para uma utilização, mas é, definitivamente, um processo que gostaria de repetir (ocasionalmente). Este produto não é vegan (por causa da snail essence), mas a COSRX é cruelty-free. //

Time for step 3. This last little sheet will help close the pores and soften and soothe the skin. It brings a lot of product and the fabric is transparent, unlike the previous ones that were opaque. It has a fabric exactly like sheet masks. After applying, just wait 5 - 10 minutes. At the end, when removing, the remaining product that is on the face should be patted into the skin, to be fully absorbed.

The results are, without exaggeration, an extremely soft and clean nose, with shrinked pores. I was so impressed! I'm sure it is even more amazing if you have oily skin. The only downside is the fact that you can only use it one time, but it is definitely a process I would like to repeat (occasionally). This product is not vegan (because of snail essence), but COSRX is cruelty-free.
